The journalists from MONOCLE asked me 10 questions about my habits and my managerial approach. It is a very singular exercise; I wanted to share with you the outcome of this interview.
I am delighted to be the guest of the University of Montpellier on March 19th. I will have the pleasure of being amongst those who wish to exchange with me, from 5:30 pm, at building 7 of the Triolet Campus (Amphitheater Dumontet) - tram 1 - University of Science and Letters.
See you there,
During the recent days, acts of anti-Semitism have multiplied in France: the profanation of a Jewish cemetery in Alsace, violent invectives to the address of the philosopher Alain Finkielkraut, but also these tags on the portraits of Simone Veil. Like thousands of people in the country, I want to react and protest against the multiplication of these acts.
As far as I am concerned, until I was 19, I lived in a country where we were taught that there was only one religion, and within that religion, only one branch; and that apart from Sunni Muslims, there were only people to hate.
But I want to say “no”. I have been living in Montpellier for years, and this city has taught me what was important: diversity, respect and, above all, the wealth represented by the other, all the others., I have forged this conviction. And since then, I have never departed from this throughout my journey. Ostracisation is always a stupidity and it acts against its own humanity. On the contrary, equality helps to build the future. We walk today, we remember tomorrow.
We have learned, with dismay, of the fire that took place on the night of 17 to 18 February (and whose origin is undetermined to this day) in the warehouses of the AVH company in Florensac. More than 90 (ninety) people with disabilities work in this place.
Always in line with our humanistic and proximity approach, our teams at ALTRAD wanted to support and to come to the aid of AVH and its staff very rapidly.
To date, we are offering a space in our workshop number 3, in order to provide AVH with the surface it would be useful for them to restart their production as soon as possible.
Two educators as well as two workers and drivers have arrived in the premises to install storage racks and organise the place to be able to store consumables and screws. A maintenance team is also installing lighting above the new workstations.
We also provide a room to set up an office with computer equipment.
Given our approach within our group, it seemed normal and necessary to present to AVH teams a reactive solution so that they can quickly resume their activity with all their expertise. We are happy to provide this contribution, we wanted to help AVH; this is part of the DNA of our group and we are proud of it.
Through my blog, we will communicate the measures that will be established and applied to contribute to the redeployment of AVH and its staff.
“I want to thank all the members of my team for their support and sincerity”.
During our annual meeting, which is of outstanding importance for us within the ALTRAD Group, I was awarded one of the finest honors, that of being thanked for joining the Honorary Committee of the Languedoc Roussillon region of the French Renaissance.
I wished that this Gold Medal be delivered to me at our annual Group meeting. Just because it belongs to you all, both women and men of the Altrad group, as much as it belongs to me.
Our Altrad Group is built on the basis of a deep commitment, perpetual exchanges, undeniable success and you have been able to sustain and develop our cultural and human values over the years within what is now a genuine community that we all form together.
The Altrad Group today is constituted of the ingredients you brought, the experience, the courage, the quality of your expertise, its authenticity and generosity.
“It is to you, women and men of the Altrad group, that I dedicate this Gold Medal of the French Renaissance. I am very grateful, and I thank you all for creating the conditions for this Recognition to take place. Thank you so much”.
The Women represent the other “XV de France”... But this team is not the “second team”, or the "icing on the cake that would be represented by the French national men’s team".
No, it is a top team, a team that has built strong relationships, that gets along well, that enjoys being together, training together, playing together... and winning together. It is a team of young women full of spirit, will and optimism.
They have, for those who may not yet know it, an undeniable ability to pull us up, and to gather around them. They deserve, just as much as men, to be followed, supported and encouraged.
We wish them a beautiful 6 Nations championship!
Solidarity is one of the values that the Altrad group shares with the XV de France. It is also central and essential because it accompanies us, always, both in moments of success as in more difficult times.
Whatever the circumstances, solidarity is the cement of groups and teams who want to move forward; it is their resilience, their ability to overcome difficulties.
At the beginning of the 6 Nations championship, let us all be conquerors and show solidarity.
Catalan Dragons are delighted to announce that the Altrad Group joins the club as official partner for the 2019 season.
The logo of the World Leader in the provision of industrial services will feature on the home and away jerseys in 2019.
The adage that experiences, relationships and challenges all develop character, holds forever true. And society still expects boys to be tough intrinsically; be warriors and superheroes. It is what most young boys dream of. In reality, adversity, poverty, victimisation, discrimination have the potential to shatter any young boy’s desires, that leads to some boys never even aspiring to a dream.
The life story of Mohed Altrad has encouraged and inspired many to conquer their demons. An anecdotal account of Mohed’s resilience in overcoming adversity on a seemingly unlikely journey to success has been recognised and included in a compilation of tales aimed at educating young boys who need the courage to take a stand, reject peer pressure, or overcome the circumstances that prevent their big dreams coming true. Challenging the stereotypical masculinity mantra, Stories for Boys Who Dare to Be Different** offers a welcome alternative narrative filled with inspiring stories of unlikely and unsung heroes who dared to be different.
Mohed Altrad’s story finds itself in good company with an assortment of others from all walks of life.

Our annual seminar is approaching and I am very pleased to share this moment with all of you.
This event is important to me. It is going to be a privilege, during these 3 days, to dedicate time for the presentation of our solid performances and the bold vision of our group. Without forgetting a key aspect of our businesses: positioning safety as a top priority.
This proximity allows us to evaluate and to build together our future. Each of you makes an important contribution to our present and our future.
Our ambition remains unchanged: to become the undisputed leader in industrial services and construction equipment, to be the essential partner of our customers.
I look forward to meeting you during this important moment in our corporate life. Like every year, it allows us to enhance our relationships.
